Medical insurance claim denial

Question
Hi I was doing research at UIUC urban Champaign IL. Due to pain in my chest I visited ER 2 times same day. Insurance company is not paying the bills by saying it a preexisted disease. They are not giving me the facts on which this decision is made. Right now I am in Pakistan please advise what can I do. Where as Hospital is continuously writing letters to my previous address with threatening language. I have updated my record of postal address three times.

Answer
First of all, I would send a certified letter to the hospital giving them your new address. Then you must call the insurance company because obviously they feel that you had this condition before you signed up for the insurance. Please call the insurance company and appeal the denial if you really did not have this condition before hand.
