When you get back to NJ call my counterpart at 1-800-792-8820 and you will get the nearest SHIP office to you. Give them a call and make an appointment with one of the counselors. They are Medicare and Medicaid trained and can give you several options. It sounds like you would be eligible for low income benefits. When you meet with the counselor, have a list of all your medications, how often you take them and the dosage.
Ask them to do:
A benefits check up for you.
see if you are eligible for LIS(or you can check at the Social Security office)
See if you are eligible for the Medicare waiver program
Check to see if you are eligible for Medicaid
Also, if you served in the military, check with a VFW service officer and see if you are eligible for a pension(or click on Pension on the VA,com home page.)
