my mother is 63 ears old, has type 2 diabetes,has second stage alzheamers, and on several other medications. My father has divorced her leaving her in my care. He has left her with only her SSI money. No house, car, pension, Nothing. How do I get her on early medicaid or medicare or both. Me and My husband both need to work and she needs constant supervision. We cant afford home care and she isnt quite ready for a nursing home.

Contact the local Area Agency on Aging in your area, and request to speak to an intake person. They have several programs she might be eligible for.
Also go to Benefits.com===enter her information=====click on continue. It will screen about 400 programs to see what applies to her.
