I have a friend who recently took a job with Freedom Health and is encouraging me to apply. I do not understand exactly how Freedom Health is connected with Medicare and Medicaid. Are they a supplemental insurance company or are they a TPA. I've been on their web site and I'm trying to understand Medicare and Medicaid and all of the different "Parts". Is there some where I can go to try and understand all of this?

Hi Lisa The first thing a new salesman does is sell to all his friends.
Look at the back cover of the MEDICARE AND YOU 2010 that you just received and there will be a number for the SHIP program in your area. Call them and speak to one of their counselors before changing policies.
In the back part of the manual is a list of all the Plans designed for Medicare person, located in your State. Check the friends plan out.
