Which insurance coverage is better when you are 85 yrs old. Having straigh medicare or Medicare with HMO?

I usually spend 30 to 45 minutes with a person when explaining the difference between original Medicare and an Advantage plan. There are too many personal factors to try doing it by e-mail. You should have just received a copy of MEDICARE AND YOU 2010. If not go to the Social Security Office and get one. In the center of the back cover is the phone number of the nearest SHIP office to you. Give them a call and request to meet with a counselor. They can go on the computer and compare the two systems and give you your best options so you can make a choice.
Some of the factors to consider> Are you eligible for low income benefits,
Do you have a chronic illness. Do you want freedom of choice in picking a provider.
Do you do much traveling. Medications
